Sherwood Forest is a year-round youth development organization with programs anchored in a month-long residential camp experience. By balancing traditional camp adventures with evidence-based programs that reinforce and support school-year learning, Sherwood Forest connects with, educates, and inspires youths. Serves low-income and economically disadvantaged youth in Missouri and Illinois, who live at, or below the federal poverty line. Also accepts camping equipment and computer donations. Services include Residential Camps, Campgrounds, Camping Gear Donation Programs and Computer Donation Programs.

Provides fun and recreation with opportunities for active learning experiences. Each phase of summer and year-round programming is designed to promote individual growth and positive relationships.

Eligibility
- Ages 7-15 years primarily from underserved communities who demonstrate readiness to learn, develop unique skills, try new things, live away from home under the directions of young adults - New campers are accepted through 6th grade; the program for older youth is for returning participants
Fees
Families pay $75 for their first child to attend camp and $50 for each additional child, per 28-day sessions in order to ensure that no child is turned away due to monetary reasons
