Description
- Family-to-Family: A 8-session class for families, partners and friends of individuals with a mental health condition. The course is designed to facilitate a better understanding of mental health conditions, increase coping skills and empower participants to become advocates for their family members. - Basics: A six-session class for parents and other family caregivers of children and adolescents who have either been diagnosed with a mental health condition or who are experiencing symptoms but have not yet been diagnosed. - Peer-to-Peer: A 10-session recovery education course open to anyone experiencing a mental health challenge. The course is designed to encourage growth, healing and recovery among participants. - In Our Own Voice: A 90-minute presentation for the general public to promote awareness of mental health conditions and the possibility of recovery. - Sharing Hope: A presentation for African American communities designed to promote mental health awareness, explore the signs and symptoms of mental health conditions and highlight how and where to find help. - Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training: A 40-hour course that brings together law enforcement, mental health providers, hospital emergency departments and individuals with mental health conditions and their families to improve responses to people in crisis. CIT enhances communication, identifies mental health resources for assisting people in crisis and ensures that officers get the training and support they need.
