The Child Care Subsidy Program: Helps eligible parents with the cost of child care while they are working or trying to gain employment.

Eligibility

- A low-income parent or guardian of a child under the age of 13 years (or age 13 years or older with a special need) and are working, attending school, in job training, disabled, homeless, searching for a job, being evaluated for training and/or employment, receiving child welfare services from the Children's Division - Note: Eligible children may be placed on a waiting list due to lack of adequate funding (Eligibility does not guarantee immediate benefits)

    Description

    Food Stamp Program: Each participating household receives a Missouri Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card to purchase any food and food products including seeds and plants to grow food. The SkillUP Program: Offers Food Stamp recipients in Missouri the opportunity to gain skills, training and work experience.

      MO HealthNet (Medicaid) Program: Provides medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD.         Description

        Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF): Provides cash benefits to low-income families for the household's children, such as clothing, utilities and other services.

        Eligibility

        - Applicant must be low-income, a Missouri resident and the parent or legal caretaker of a child who is either under age 18 years or the child is attending high school )or equivalent) and is expected to graduate before age 19 years - Upon approval of TANF, the recipient must participate in employment and training services through the Missouri Work Assistance (MWA) program which helps TANF recipients transition from TANF to a job by helping set goals and get the skills needed to find a job and support the recipient’s family - Contact office on additional eligibility requirements
