Description:

Child and Adolescent Services address complex problems within the age range of 3 to 18 and include anxiety disorders, (post-traumatic stress, separation anxiety), mood disorders, (depression and bi-polar disorder), autism spectrum disorders (difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors) , attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and oppositional defiant disorder. Services include a trauma informed community, medication services, child and adolescent counseling and play therapy.

Please bring with you, if applicable, a photo ID, insurance card, guardianship paperwork, and birth certificate (for minors)

Eligibility

Age 3-18 with a behavioral health disorder

Fees

Medicaid, Medicare and most types of commercial insurance except for Cigna and United Health. Missouri Department of Mental Health funding for uninsured individuals who qualify.

Intake Procedure

Walk-in care is available Monday through Friday from 8am. – 12pm. A master's-level mental health professional will meet with you and help you get the care you need. Each person who utilizes walk-in hours will be assessed and connected to appropriate services.

Languages

Arabic, Somali and Spanish. Phone- and video-based interpreter services are available for other languages, including American Sign Language.

    Adults up to age 25. Some must meet criteria for severely emotionally disturbed or severe and persistent mental illness

        Medicaid, Medicare and most types of commercial insurance. Uninsured residents of Jackson County and Kansas City, Missouri can receive services on a sliding fee schedule based on their income/resources.
